Scouting the Hive Ships
The box for Advanced Space Crusade included schemes for three chapters printed on the side.
Scythes of the Emperor

A Scout of the Scythes of the Emperor - 1st Squad. Note the traditional topknot and scythe shaped earring. The right knee-pad bears the black and white stripes of the Kraken Campaign - all troops (not just Marines), vehicles (and even weapons) used by the Imperium in the war against Hive Fleet Kraken have been issued with this badge.
Veteran Sergeant Reaper. Note the Kraken Campaign badge on his right knee-pad. In his right ear he wears a scythe-shaped earring, while his left carries his long service studs indicating a service record of 250 years.
The back banner of Sergeant Reaper depicts the Emperor in golden armour wielding a golden scythe. It also bears the veteran badge of crossed scythes.
Ultramarines

Like the senior members of their Chapter, Ultramarine Scouts wear mainly blue and white. Their gauntlets, boots and belts are black, while their sleeves and chest plate eagle wings are often picked out in gold. The Ultramarine Scout symbol is a stylised version of the scout knife, and this is worn on the shoulder pad in blue and white as shown.
Veteran Sergeant Kharg bears his double-headed axe symbol on his left leg (it also appears on his back banner) as a symbol of his veteran status. The scrolls on his left leg bear the names of the campaigns he has fought in and the studs in his forehead indicate a service record of 360 years.
Sergeant Kharg's back banner bears two purity seals and the high honour of a white chapter badge on a red ground. In addition it bears the honours of the Winged Skull and the Supernova.
Space Wolves

A Space Wolf Scout of the 1st Squad equipped during the Wolf Strike campaign (note the yellow diamond campaign badge on the right knee pad). Note also the wolf-tail hanging from the belt and the traditional runic insignia on the knife blade. The Scout's bolt pistol is decorated with a stylised wolf tail.
Veteran Sergeant Hakon bears the Iron Halo honour on his left shoulder pad and the laurel wreath honour on his left knee. The stylised claw marking on his right knee proclaims him a Space Wolf veteran, while the studs on his forehead indicate his 180 year service record.
Sergeant Hakon's back banner shows his personal heraldic device of twin wolves howling at the moon; superimposed is the Scout knife symbol. Not the wolf tails hanging from the banner pole.
Addendum
I could be wrong, but think the decimated Scythes of the Emperor were invented for the game.
The box includes a painting guide for an Ultramarine scout which I have omitted. White Dwarf 131 promised a more painting guides that never materialised. It was one of a few false starts at creating a Space Marine heraldry guide. Painted scouts can be found in WD130 & WD132. WD132 also has banners to photocopy for Space Wolves & Ultramarines.
