DEPLOYING FOR BATTLE can kickstart games of 2nd edition by drawing missions & strategy cards & determining who needs to do what in what order.

Deploying for Battle

The set-up procedure:

• Pick armies

• Set up terrain

• Draw Strategy Cards †

• Draw Mission Cards †

• Dice off to choose board edge †

• Deploy models in Strategy Rating order, lowest first †

• Dice off to see who deploys infiltrators first †

• Add Strategy Rating to D6 with winner getting first turn

The app favours expediency over precisely replicating the rules.

Missions

A few missions are included in the boxed set, Dark Millennium adds a couple more, and White Dwarf contributes three.

Strategy Cards

A couple of cards, Brilliant Strategy & Traitor, affect Strategy Ratings which in turn affect set-up so drawing these cards has been included.

Dark Millennium introduced 18 cards & White Dwarf added 8 more.
