Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader Errata
Rules errata for the first edition of Warhammer 40,000 which is still (occasionally) in print.

Although Rogue Trader was authored on a computer it appears all that material was lost in the Dark Age of 1980s Technology. Louise Sugden carefully dismembered a hardback copy of the original book to scan every page in the creation of the reprint edition, much like Fabius Bile did to create a clone of Horus. The reprint came complete with all the mistakes.
In the 1980's corrections were published in two issues of White Dwarf magazine, reproduced below.

Psykers Are Dangerous ☠
Psykers are unpredictable and dangerous... we should have been more careful. How could we have foreseen the effects of uncontrolled mental energies upon our typographical equipment, not to mention the mental function of some of our staff? Yes, it's true, WH40K has been got at. Who stole the page references from the combat section for example? More to the point, which vorpal force made off psychic ability level 2 teleport on p51? The level 2 telepath and level 2 teleport should read as follows.
TELEPATHY - Telepathy 2
Level 2 Psi-points 3
This is a more effective version of the first level telepathy ability. It enables a psyker to establish momentary two-way contact between himself and another individual within
24". The psyker may both give and receive a brief message of about 10 words. For example: Psyker - where is the enemy spacecraft? Character - it's behind the large hill by the crater.
An exchange of information of this kind would be impossible using level 1 telepathy, of course.
TELEPORT - Teleport 2
Level 2 Psi-points 6
This is a longer-ranged, more powerful version of the first level teleport ability. It allows a psyker to teleport a distance of up to a mile in any direction. This is achieved immediately, the model disappearing and rematerialising all within the psionic part of the turn. He is able to teleport through walls, solid objects, etc., so long as the interposing matter is no more than 1 metre.

MOPPING UP ☠
Marine Commander Jervis 'Yeehah! Dakka dakka' Johnson was lubricating his power armour down at the local club recently, when between insane screams of blood-curdling intensity, he actually made a discovery. I was horrified - not at the nature of of the discovery itself - just at the realisation that JJ was sentient. Anyway, Johnson's discovery is this: the bolt gun and bow profiles on p70 have been transposed, and on p 78/80 the power glove and power sword profile have also been transposed. The profiles shown on the summary sheet are the correct ones. However, some details of the multi-melta shown on the summary sheet have been shifted one column to the left - see p86 for the correct profile.
Until next time. Rick Priestly
